David has more than 20 years of experience serving as a Project Manager, QA/QC Manager, Project Engineer, Lead Construction Inspector, and Owner’s Representative on construction projects across the West. He launched his career in 1978 with Nichols Associates Engineering as a Surveyor and Project Manager, where he conducted boundary surveys and construction staking as the Survey Party Chief and managed roadway reconstruction projects. In 1982, David accepted an Engineering Coordinator position with the Mesa County Engineering Department in Grand Junction, CO, where he primarily managed and inspected bridge rehabilitation and new construction projects until 1989.
After seven years with Mesa County, David decided to continue working in the municipal realm and joined the Jefferson County Engineering Department in 1991. He would stay on another seven years as a QA/QC Manager and Lead Inspector, until 1998. Having spent 20 years in construction, David decided to take a break and subsequently ran a successful real estate business in Monument, CO. In 2020, he re-entered the industry as a Construction Supervisor and QA/QC Manager for a Laramie, WY, company, primarily working on bridge projects in Yellowstone National Park. He joined proHNS in 2021.
