proHNS is excited to bolster our Egan Drive team with the expertise of seasoned project/construction manager Brian Hanson, PE. Brian is joining us in a Project Engineer role as we move into the second season of providing AK DOT&PF with Construction Administration and Inspection services on the Egan Drive 10th to Main Street Improvements project.

proHNS Principal Engineer Garret Gladsjo, PE, said he is most impressed with Brian’s even-tempered attitude, communication skills, and breadth of experience.

“I spoke with Brian about employment opportunities over an extended vetting period of more than six months and got the opportunity to know him even before he walked through the door,” Garret said. “I’m confident his level-headed approach to project management will put him on a path of being a rising star in our industry.”

Brian has ten years of on-site construction management experience, much of which has taken him to the remotest edges of Alaska. After interning with the State of Washington DOT in 2007, he spent six years working in Unalaska as a Construction Engineer for Regan Engineering, providing on-site quality control and acting as the Owner Representative for City of Unalaska Public Works construction projects. Since 2017, he has provided a similar service on behalf of KBA Construction Management for the City of Oak Harbor, WA, working primarily on the City’s $142 million Clean Water Facility project.

“Brian’s experience in a wide range of project types — from marine construction in Dutch Harbor to vertical construction in the greater Seattle area — makes him an ideal fit for proHNS and the type of contract administration and inspection services we provide for clients around the State,” Garret said.

Brian holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Washington State University. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in both Alaska and Washington.
